Many Ways You Can Make a Difference
A tax-deductible donation helps to ensure future generations will have their own library stories to share.

Every library user has a story. Whether it be a fond storytime memory, a kind librarian helping with a school project, or even reading library books with your children at bedtime, your experiences are the true legacy of our Library. Please consider a donation to Washington-Centerville Public Library to ensure future generations have their own stories to share. Donations in any amount are appreciated and are tax deductible. Donations of $500 or more may be recognized, if the donor wishes, on a plaque in the Library.

Washington-Centerville Public Library is a member of the Dorothy Lane Market Good Neighbor Program! Every time you shop and scan your Club DLM card, your chosen nonprofit organization is credited with the purchase. Simply sign-up online or at an area store and name Washington-Centerville Public Library as your organization of choice.

Restricted Gifts

Restricted donations are earmarked for a specific purpose by the donor and can include:

  • Tribute Donations – Donations made in honor of a person or life event which are spent according to the wishes of the donor. Tribute donations often honor the deceased. Donation envelopes for funeral services are available upon request.
  • Endowments – Unrestricted and restricted endowments leave a lasting legacy to the Library by generating annual interest income that can be used for short or long term projects. View current endowments.
Donate Materials

Donate gently used books to the Friends of WCPL or consider honoring a deceased loved one, family member or friend by making a monetary donation to purchase and dedicate a special book.

Volunteer

Support your Library by giving your time and talent. Become a Friend of the Library, a Library Advocate, or a member of the Teen Advisory Board.

Bequests

Future gifts to the Library can be included as a provision to your will or trust. Consult an attorney to initiate a bequest.
