The sad paperwork
There were tears everywhere, the paper dripping wet and my younger brother sitting on the floor. I walked over to cheer him up but he pushed away. I kept on trying to get to him but he wouldn’t budge. So I did the only thing that I could. I sat with him. He kept on scooching to the left until he couldn’t anymore. Then he stood up and yelled at me “GET AWAY FROM ME” and sat back down crying. Then he finally opened up to me and said “ I have been stuck doing homework for 3 hours and I don’t know what to do and can’t get any help”. So I decided to sit next to him and help him with his homework. As I was helping him he was still crying but feeling better. It was hard for him to write on the paper since the paper was wet with tears but we persevered anyways. He said to me that he can’t do it and that he will just give up on it but I kept on helping him. He kept on getting frustrated because the pencil kept on poking through paper. I was helping him with calming music in the background and me gently scratching his back as I heard his wimpers slowly fade away until they were no more. After it was finished He gave me the biggest hug of all time and he was so happy that I took time to help him. I always feel that it is important to help others when they need it, especially if you have the time. It can make someone go from depressed to happy in no time. I never gave up on helping my little brother which made him happier along with me. My brother and I ended up playing together and having a great time just because I took time out of my day to help him. He really did appreciate my help. Then he said “I love you”. That really made my day and I don’t regret any bit of what I had done for him.
