My Plan to Success
Every teen has a different plan or plans on how they are going to survive in their teen years. Each plan leads to set goals in that person’s life, and it’s whether they follow those goals or not that determines whether they will succeed in their early stages of life. I am a strong believer in that statement, and I have developed my own plan containing multiple goals. My plan for getting through the teen years of life has many general goals that almost any teen could use. My goals include always doing the right thing, never giving up, and have fun in everything you do.
The first goal in my plan that I have to survive my teen years is doing the right thing. This goal will not only get people to like me, it will get me friends as well. The friends that I make are critical in surviving through my teen years. If I am friends with people who do bad things and always get in trouble, than it is most likely I will follow in my friend’s direction and do as they do. The goal of doing the right thing also helps me in being happy. Just as in Mrs. Yeck’s philosophy that states, “Being Good + Doing Good = Having Fun + Being Happy”, generally states that if I take that extra effort to do the right thing it will pay off. When I do the right thing it does not just benefit the person I did the action to, but it benefits me as well.
The next goal is never giving up. In my life I have encountered many challenges, and the thing that got me through those challenges is never giving up. Never giving up has benefited me in my life so much. Things like school, work, and even sports will help me in the long run in life if I don’t give up while doing them. Theodore Roosevelt once said, “With self-discipline almost anything is possible.” That quote has spoken to me throughout my life, it tells me that I can achieve almost anything if I put my mind to it, and anyone else can do the same.
My final goal for succeeding in my teen years is having fun. What’s the point of trying in life if I don’t have any fun while doing it? Growing up may seem like it is taking a long time, but it is actually going a lot faster than you think. Almost any adult would give anything in order to go back to their teen years, so cherish these years and make them fun filled in all that you do.
Although the teen years of your life may be some of the most challenging years of your life, there are many ways to succeed. Everyday things can make or break you in the long run, and it is whether you follow your plan or not that will determine whether you succeed.
