The Beginning of a New Adventure
Have you ever heard the saying, “Adventure is out there!” from Disney’s UP? This is how I want to live my teenage years; like I am on a fantastical adventure where there is so much in store for me. I need to work hard to achieve my goals, stay positive no matter what happens, and also make a difference wherever I venture to.
Working hard is necessary for achieving goals, and I have come to know this concept from many teachers, family experiences, and life in general. Without it, there is no point in achievement. Hard work will help make me a well-rounded person; physically, mentally, and socially. It may be tough, like in an adventure; discovering and exploring everyday is hard working, and in the end, rewarding. Thomas Edison once said,” There is no substitute for hard work.” He is correct in saying this, because I know that I cannot get farther in life without a little work and a little pain.
Staying positive will help me through this expedition, and the rest of my life. In negative and hard decisions, being a positive face will help me solve a problem. To do this, I will remind myself of what I am grateful for and what I can do to change other people’s attitudes everyday. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “The sun shines and warms and lights us and we have no curiosity to know why this is so; but we ask the reason of all evil, of pain, and hunger, and mosquitoes and silly people.” For an adventure situation, staying positive would mean facing obstacles like animals, hunger, and natural elements with a smile, and thinking that a problem will only take you so far. This helps push the negativity aside.
Making a difference with every step of my life will help me really leave a mark on the world, and inspire others to do this as well. On my expedition through my teenage years, I will help where there is needed, such as with the elderly and small children. I will also try to aide environmentally around the community, and build relationships with many people that I meet. It may seem like a hard task, but looking for people and things that need help will give me this guidance. This will help me to build relationships with so many, but also help more people realize how special the world is, and how important it is to help others. In my journey, I would help wherever, and not leave anything out. No one is to be forgotten by me because I want to touch the lives of many.
I will travel much throughout these next few years, I will thrive by building relationships with so many in the process, and I will also make a gigantic difference in the world that I call home. This experience for me will signify so much, and be so short, but I know that I am ready for the challenges ahead.
