Interlibrary Loan

• Why haven't SearchOhio and OhioLink returned yet?
• Issues were discovered as the system came online that delayed the start date.


• When will SearchOhio and OhioLink come back online?
• SearchOhio will come back online when two or more libraries agree to start lending. Libraries will agree to start lending once the system is functional enough to allow requests to be processed.
• OhioLink will come back online for public libraries after SearchOhio has been implemented and tested.

• Limit: 50 total items includes all items in checked-out status, in returned status or in-transit status for both SearchOhio and OhioLINK.
• Loan period: 3 weeks for books, audiobooks and music
• Loan period: 1 week for DVDs
• Renewable: All items will renew automatically up to three (3) times provided there isn't a request for the item at the lending library.
• Overdue fines: 50¢/day
• $25 for lost or damaged items more than thirty (30) days overdue or damaged beyond repair.
• Returns: Inside or outside book drops at either the Centerville Library or Woodbourne Library.

• Loan period: 1 week for all media (audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs)
• Renewable: Books will renew automatically up to six (6) times and all media will renew automatically up to three (3) times provided there isn't a request for it at the lending library.
• Overdue fines: 50¢/day
• $125 for lost or damaged items more than 30 days overdue or damaged beyond repair.
• $50 for items returned after having been billed ($15 for overdue fines plus a $35 processing fee).
• Returns: Inside or outside book drops at either the Centerville Library or Woodbourne Library.

• Do you need a digital or physical copy of an article, sheet music, chapters or selected pages in a book? Click the ILLiad button, complete the form and our librarians will request your item from Kent State University. If you need a complete book and other items, use the SearchOhio and OhioLINK buttons above.
• Free digital copies will be sent to requestor at no charge.
• Fees apply for printing physical copies.
• Please allow 3 to 5 business days for arrival.

*Patrons owing $10 or more in fines, under disciplinary action, with expired teacher cards, expired homebound cards or temporary library cards are not eligible to use this service.

• If item is found, click the Request Item button. Request Status must be AVAILABLE to request item.
• If item is NOT AVAILABLE, you cannot place a hold. Check back again later to see if item is available.
• Choose Washington-Centerville Public Library from the drop-down menu.
• Enter your library card number and your PIN.
• Select Centerville Library or Woodbourne Library for the pickup location.
• Requests generally arrive in 3-7 business days
• You will be notified by phone or email when item arrives
• Requested items are held for 7 days
